چکیده

establishment of the gas exporting countries forum in tehran in 2001 has proved to be one of the most important changes in the gas market. gecf has a considerable share in the world liquefied natural gas (lng) trade. facts show that current routes of lng trade are not optimal. hence, in this paper we examine the development of cooperative strategies between countries exporting (lng) and members of the gas exporting countries forum (gecf). to follow this goal, first we study the statue of gecf members in gas market, and then using a simple linear programing approach we find the optimal lng trade routes for gecf members. the numerical results suggest that, in the absence of geopolitical problems, this cooperative strategy will probably be a rational move for all of the lng exporters. the problem of gain sharing is then formulated using cooperative game theory concepts.

Simulation study on boil-off gas minimization and recovery strategies at LNG exporting terminals

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is becoming one of the prominent clean energy sources with its abundance, high calorific value, and low emission and price. Vapors generated from LNG due to heat leak are called boil-off gas (BOG). As world-wide LNG productions are in an increasingly growth, BOG generation and handling problems become more critical subject to more intense global competitions and stri...

A strategic perspective on competition between pipeline gas and LNG

Global gas markets feature two types of suppliers: piped gas and LNG exporters. Pipelines have a high degree of “asset specificity”: once built, they are physically bound to a particular route. LNG is transported by tanker, with a choice of export markets. Put simply: LNG is mobile, pipelines are not. This paper uses game-theoretic modelling to show how its commitment to serving a single market...
